North-East India, a land of mesmerizing hills and plains with luxuriant green cover and a wide variety of rare and exotic flora and fauna.
Consisting of 8 states North-East India has some real surprises for the travelers. Not so much established on the traveler's map, yet the North Eastern India has its own charm that will sweep you off your feet. Every soul should visit here for once and lose themselves in its charismatic magic.

The North-East comprises of 8 states, "Seven Sisters and One Brother", the "Seven Sisters" are Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Meghalaya and the "Brother" is Sikkim.




The North-East is a true frontier region. It has over 2000 km of border with Bhutan, China, Myanmar and Bangladesh and is connected to the rest of India by a narrow 27 km wide corridor of land. One of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse regions in Asia, each state has its distinct cultures and traditions.

From times immemorial, India’s North-East has been the meeting point of many communities, faiths, and cultures. A place renowned for its magical beauty and bewildering diversity, North-East India is the home of more than 166 separate tribes speaking a wide range of languages. Some groups have migrated over the centuries from places as far as South East Asia; they retain their cultural traditions and values but are beginning to adapt to contemporary lifestyles. Well known for its distinct culture and traditional lifestyle, the North-east region offers a mixed culture of Hindu, Christianity, Muslim, and Buddhism. Buddhist Culture has occupied an important place and a large number of ethnic groups as compared to other religions. Every tribal group of these states has its own unique tribal culture, tribal folk dance and food and crafts.

The lifestyle of North Eastern Indian states varies from one place to other, people of the states are divided into tribes and sub-tribes. Hill region tribes live a simple lifestyle as they inhabit in high mountains and thus hunting and fishing is the prime occupations. Agriculture and weaving are the two major occupations of the people, Tea farming in Assam is one of the main sources of income along with traditional handicrafts. Tea gardens of Assam are world famous for the aroma and rich flavor and taste.

The festivals and celebrations are a colorful reflection of the people and their lives. The festivals mostly centering around their modes of living and livelihood, are celebrated throughout the year by different people with a lot of fanfare in different ways.

The lushness of its landscape, the range of communities and geographical and ecological diversity makes the North-East quite different from other parts of the subcontinent. One can feel the difference once you enter the region while traveling by land or once you get out of your plane if you chose the flying option. The freshness in the atmosphere, the greenery are totally worth experiencing.

Each state in the North-East is traveler’s paradise, with picturesque hills and green meadows which shelters thousand of species of flora and fauna. In addition, the states provide scope for angling, boating, rafting, trekking and hiking. Besides, there are a number of wild life sanctuaries and national parks where rare animals, birds, and plants which will surely provide a fascinating insight to the visitors. The Land is also filled with a lot of mythological places which has relations to ancient Indian mythologies like Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Hello readers, Wanted to share our progress so far in this project. Till now we have created a Facebook page and started this blog. We are also working on our blog. At the time of writing this blog, we had 400+ LIKES on our Facebook page , our post reach was at 6765+ and 1407+ post engagements. On our Facebook page, we have a total of 13 posts till now. Our target is to reach 800+ likes by the end of this month and publish our website by 25th of September. Also, we are planning to start our Instagram page where our fans can share their travel experience through photos and videos. MYSTERY OF JATINGA

Last week we released this video on the Mysterious phenomenon of birds committing suicide in JATINGA. Here we have written a bit about this mystery.  Commonly known as the valley of death for birds, Jatinga is a small village on a ridge, is located in Dima Hasao district (DHD), in the  state Assam. The place has damsel like beauty with scenic mountains surrounding it. It is famous  for The Bird Suicide Mystery.  Not only the Migratory birds, but the local birds also do similar things here in Jatinga.   It's a natural phenomenon nobody has been able to explain. But Jatinga's mysterious annual event of migratory birds committing mass suicide has now attracted the eyes of many scientists.
